I made this Crawford Power Brake in 2023. Amy Skowronski did the welding doe me.

I made this Storrick – Crawford Power Brake from 9.5 mm. 1018 steel rod using the figures in U.S. Patent #5,511,291 as a guide.
The Crawford Power Brake reminds me of an oversized Lirakis Sidewinder with an attached handle. My Power Brake is larger than my Sidewinders, and provides less friction (more like a Coat Hanger). The side T-horns provide tie-offs like many of the T-side eights. The patent does not clearly explain the function of the handle, other than illustrating that it can provide an additional tie-off point.
For far more content, use a larger monitor and a full-width window.
