I acquired my Chinese Model A on eBay from Buy Mania in 2019.
The Chinese Model A is forged from stainless steel. Mine is 144 mm. tall, 116 mm. wide, and 11 mm. thick. The rope hole is 61 mm. high and 51 mm. wide. The top center thickness is 11 mm. The shaft length and width are 28 mm. and 26 mm., respectively. The auxiliary hole is 15.9 mm. high and 8.5 mm. wide. The eye measures 17 mm. by 17 mm. The ears are 25.4 and 25.2 mm. long. My Chinese Model A weighs 395 g.
There are no markings on this eight.
The Chinese Model A is is another double T–side eight. I ordered this eight along with the YQ Model B and C eights, so it may have the same source. The model designations (A, B, C) were only for the eBay seller’s convenience. Since Model A has no markings, I've listed it separately.
Like almost all steel eights, the Chinese Model A is too heavy for my taste.
The eye is too narrow to accept two full size locking carabiners.
For far more content, use a larger monitor and a full-width window.
