Raúl Macía Sanchez sent me this Ukrainian eight in 2025,
This eight is forged from aluminum alloy. It is 148 mm. tall, 76 mm. wide, and 12 mm. thick. The rope hole is 51 mm. high and 51 mm. wide. The top center thickness is 12 mm. The shaft length and width are 41 mm. and 31 mm., respectively. The eye measures 30 mm. by 30 mm. My eight weighs 129 g.
The front of this eight is stamped "MADE IN UKRAINE" and "2200 KG.
This Ukrainian eight is a typical example of a full size, milled aluminum plate eight. I have not identified the manufacturer.
This eight resembles early Russ Anderson eights, but is slightly smaller and provides more friction.
