Gerry brake bars fit the old standard-size aluminum oval and D carabiners. These two have different lengths but are functionally equivalent. They look very much like the Eiger brake bars of the vintage, and may have a common origin, but my Gerry bar ends are pointed while my Eiger bar ends are rounded.
The letters “GMD” stamped on the longer bar are an unknown previous owner’s initials.
