I acquired my Dave Stoltz chest plate and the attached Simmons rollers from Howie’s Harnesses at the 2009 UIS/NSS Convention.
The Dave Stoltz box is 227 mm. tall, 51 mm. wide, 62 mm. thick, and weighs 389 g. with rollers attached.
The plate is milled from two pieces of aluminum alloy that are, in part, machined simultaneously. The back plate is 11.5 mm. thick prior to machining, but milled to 5.4 mm. over most of its surface, leaving a raised central area for attaching the front strap and for supporting two Simmons rollers. The front strap is 4.5 mm. thick. It passes through the slots on two Simmons Rollers. Three countersunk #12 screws fasten the front strap to the back plate. The back plate has six webbing slots, each about 6.4 mm. wide. The end slots are 36 mm. long and the four top and bottom slots are 31 mm. long. Ten 8 mm. and four 16 mm. holes help reduce weight.
There are no markings on this plate.
This is one of the nicer plates for mounting Simmons rollers; however, it became available shortly after my friend Ron Simmon’s death while cave diving, and so the Simmons roller was no longer being made.

Hundreds of cell phone users complained and asked me to for a simpler, mobile friendly site. In particular, they wanted me to limit each page to a small number of pictures and minimize my use of text. This new site provides what they asked for.
