These are set up as one 4-step étrier and one 5-step étrier.
Sheet-aluminum step with stainless grommets in rope holes. Lightweight, but the smooth surface and well-rounded edge folds make these slipperier than most others.
Stamped with the "Petzl"-inside-an-ellipse logo and "FRANCE" on top center of step.
Tied webbing aiders replaced hard-step European étriers in the USA by the 1960s. Sewn versions came later.

One half has SWIVEL S," an IQR code, and "22E0404737262" printed on one side. The other half has"Meets NFPA 1983 (2017 ED), "EAC," the UL Classified logo, "45YF" and "TP/TC 019/2011" printed on one side. Both halves have the Petzo logo forged on the side opposite the printing.
