In 1970 Mo Anthoine and Joe Brown formed Snowdon Mouldings. They produced a variety of outdoor equipment including the Joe Brown Helmet, my favorites for caving.

Fiberglass Shaft.
Shaft: 35x24 mm.
Fixed head with carabiner hole.
Curved adze with scalloped edge.
Adze: 80(l)x64(w)x3(curve) mm.
Curved Alpine pick with a negative-clearance chisel tip and with 5 ventral teeth near the tip and 2 more near the shaft.
Pick: 145(l)x26(h)x7(t) mm.
Round spike.
Spike: 65(l)x13(d) mm.
A heavy British axe that works well on waterfalls.
The grip has a rounded rectanfular profile rather than the more traditional oval shape.
The Curver Axe was one of the few British made ice-axes.
Snowdon Mouldings used imported axe heads and bent them into a steep curve.
