• Fixed Head with carabiner hole.
• Hammer head.
• Curved Alpine pick with a negative-clearance chisel tip and with 9 ventral teeth.
• Triangular plate spike.
• There is a slot in the pick for wrist loop webbing.
• Made for alpine climbing and light ice climbing, the Himalayan's narrow pick allows for positive placements in steep ice. There is a vibration dampening connection between the head and shaft.
• The vibration-dampening connections at the head and spike are covered by U. S, Patentent Patent #4432404.
