Gotlieb Häsler made ice axes in Lütschenthal (near the foot of the Grinderwald), Berner-Oerland region, Switzerland. He was active making throughout the 1920s and 1930s, and apparently ended his production in the early 1940s.
Many Häsler ice axes were stamped with the owner's name and city. Since the font face and font size of the onesthat I've seen for sale on eBay are consistent, I believe that this was done by Häsler.
Later Häsler axes often have the year of manufacturer stamped on them. On the ones that I've seen for sale on eBay, the Häsler stamp and the year were were on the opposite side of the pick as on earlier axes, as were the owner's name and city.
