Technical Details

I acquired my Latok Tuber from L.L. Bean in 1987.

The Latok Tuber is a round tuber. It is turned from aluminum alloy. Mine is 49 mm. long, 78 mm. wide, 72 mm. high, and weighs 53 g. The keeper is made from plastic covered cable held in place by crimps in the dividing tube.

There are no markings on my Latok Tuber.

Comments

The Latok Tuber was the first belay tube that I acquired. Aside from the rope running toward the center, which wasn't a real problem, I liked it.

Does the Latok Tuber look like the Lowe Tuber? Similar Name? Latok was Jeff Lowe’s company.
