Bellunese

BelluneseThe Bellunese is closely related to Blake’s Hitch, but has three coils top and bottom instead of two each. I find that the extra coils make the Bellunese hard to adjust when first tied, although it seems to adjust iteslf afterward. It has more holding power than Blake’s Hitch, but is harder to move. The stopper knot is critical, since the free end will pull through without it

Note:
The performance of any ascending knot depends on the diameter, material, construction, and condition of both the main line and the ascender knot sling material. It may also depend on exactly how one ties the knot. Your knot’s performance can easily differ from mine.

Hundreds of cell phone users complained and asked me to for a simpler, mobile friendly site. In particular, they wanted me to limit each page to a small number of pictures and minimize my use of text. This new site provides what they asked for.
