Cam faceTechnical Details

I acquired my Clark Single-handled dual ascender from Jim Clark in 2009.

Jim Clark made this Single-handled Dual Ascender out of a left-handed Petzl Ascension Version H and a right-handed Petzl Ascension Version I ascender. The Clark Single-handled Dual Ascender is 176 mm. tall, 89 mm. wide, 41 mm. thick, and weighs 457 g.

Comments

Jim is a caver, but primarily he is an arborist, and this ascender was made for the latter application. Jim made this at a time when the Kong-Bonaiti Double Rope ascender was not readily available. He was looking for a compact ascender for double ropes.

Hundreds of cell phone users complained and asked me to for a simpler, mobile friendly site. In particular, they wanted me to limit each page to a small number of pictures and minimize my use of text. This new site provides what they asked for.
