I acquired this Walkosz i Spółka from Louis Gonzales in 2026.
My Walkosz i Spółka is 196 mm. tall, 42 mm. wide, 36 mm. thick, and weighs 231 g.
The side plates are made from 2.8 mm. aluminum alloy. The tops have an offset to the right to support an auxiliary rod. Below the offset lie two rope bollards centered between the plates. The swinging side plate pivots on the axle bolt for the lower bollard. The lower ends of the side plates are bent to converge at the attachment point. This is a 24 x 13 mm. rounded slot in the rear plate and a hook with a safety gate on the swinging plate. The centers are offset 2.8 mm. to the right of the plate centerlines. The hook has a spring-loaded gate made of 0.8 m. plated steel pivoting on a bronze rivet.
The bollards are turned aluminum. They are bolted to the fixed plate with 8 mm.) bolts. The top bollard has a V-groove. This bollard has a major diameter of 38.9 mm and a minor diameter of 30.7 mm. The groove is 9.5 mm. wide at the outer diameter. The lower bollard has a U-shaped groove. It has a major diameter of 37.9 mm, a minor diameter of 31.6 mm., and is 11.0 mm. wide.
The swinging plate is stamped "<WIS>." The bolt heads have "B" and "5.8" in raised characters.
This bobbin is based on the first Petzl Simple with an auxiliary bar. The workmanship is good, but not as polished as the equivalent Petzl Simple. The sides of this bobbin were sawn, and the saw marks, although smoothed, are still prominent. The auxiliary rod is not fully pressed into the fixed plate, leaving a 4 mm. gap between the swinging plate and the inside of the knob on the rod. As a result, the knob provides no support for the swinging plate.
Although the workmanship is imperfect, this is still usable bobbin. My main objection is the narrowness of the top bollard groove, suggesting that this bobbin was not designed for ropes over 9.5 mm.
All of my Walkosz i Spółka items are direct copies of Petzl; products. This bobbin is based on the first Petzl Simple with an auxiliary bar. This allows dating this bobbin to approximately 1987 to 1990.

Hundreds of cell phone users complained and asked me to for a simpler, mobile friendly site. In particular, they wanted me to limit each page to a small number of pictures and minimize my use of text. This new site provides what they asked for.
