Iwai Shinzo founded exercise equipment manufacturing wholesaler Masushin Shoten in 1923. They started making mountaineering equipment and using the name "Ever New" in the 1950s. The company changed its name to Ever New, Inc. in 1965. They now focus on traditional cookers and tableware, but continues to manufacture, import, and sell mountaineering equipment.
