- Probably made in the Stubai Valley prior to 1959 when the Stubai Tooling Cooperation (founded in 1897) started marking their mountaineering products with the Stubai name.

- Made in Austria [1950s].
- Effective size: 190x12x5 mm.
- Same as #413 but broken.
- Hand–forged steel.
- No markings.
- Think about it – the steel was more brittle than the ice.

Ring Ice Pitons
This piton matches Stubai ice pitons shown in the 1959 Thomas Black & Sons "Good Companions" catalog. It was probably made in the Stubai Valley prior to 1959 when the Stubai Tooling Cooperation (founded in 1897) started marking their mountaineering products with the Stubai name rather than only using "Made in Austria."
